Kelsey R Pool
Reproductive biologist Dr Kelsey Pool aims to both contribute to a better mechanistic understanding of reproductive biology whilst providing tangible outcomes to animal production industries. Her research focuses primarily on improving ovine reproduction, with particular emphasis on the identification of endocrine disruptors and environmental impacts on mammalian fertility. Prior to moving to UWA, Dr Pool undertook her PhD at the University of Sydney and INRA, Nouzilly, France. Her PhD research demonstrated the ability of melatonin to alter reproductive endocrinology and gamete production in the ram, resulting in the registration of a commercial Australian product to improve ovine reproductive efficiency.
