Reza Nosrati
Dr Reza Nosrati is an NHMRC Fellow, Associate Professor, and Director of the Applied Microfluidics & Bioengineering (AMB) Lab at Monash University. He completed his PhD at the University of Toronto in 2016 and subsequently held an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at Queen’s University (2016–2018) before joining Monash.
Dr Nosrati’s research focuses on small-scale fluid mechanics with applications in reproductive biology and medicine. He is a pioneer in microfluidics for fertility and assisted reproduction, making foundational contributions to our understanding of sperm behaviour in vivo and advancing clinically relevant biomedical technologies to address infertility. His work has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the 2025 Research Talent Accelerator Fellowship, the 2023 Dean’s Award for Research Excellence, the 2021 Newcastle Emerging Research Leader Award, the 2018 Royan International Award, and the 2016 Colton Medal, honouring his outstanding international contributions to the field.
