Alex Barker
Dr. Alex Barker is a Research Associate based within A/Prof. Paul Anderson's Musculoskeletal Biology Research Laboratory with the University of South Australia. Dr. Barker began her PhD in 2015, which investigated the potential for peroxidases to be used as therapeutic agents to accelerate bone healing and begin to understand how they regulate osteoblast function.
Since joining A/Prof. Paul Anderson's group in 2018, Dr. Barker has been engaged in an industry and collaborative project to develop pre-clinical models to test antimicrobial surfaces for orthopaedic devices.
